Soak the hijiki in water for 30 minutes to rehydrate. Once fully rehydrated, drain well.

In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, egg, hijiki, potato starch, and salt and pepper. Shape into oval patties.

Heat the oil in a skillet and cook the patties on both sides until browned.

Once cooked through, add the seasonings and simmer until the sauce thickens.
