Jamdung

This is a Jamaican traditional Breakfast meal. Consists of Ackee, Salt fish and Callaloo. With my added touch of course, I only cooked the Callaloo. I included some special ingredients. See in recipe. Do enjoy!

Fig Jam Fig Jam
My family is separated into those who eat figs plain and those who like them as a jam, but only a few of us like them plain so they go bad fairly quickly. This is why I made them into a jam that can be stored. The amount of sugar will depend on the sweetness of the figs, so adjust as needed. Ripe figs are pretty sweet, so please add more lemon juice. In Step 4, be careful not to let it boil down too much. Recipe by Nu-shi. (Uses 1 pack of 5 small figs.) cookpad.japan -

Apple Jam Apple Jam
I wanted to use this for a dinner dish, so I made jam without sugar!! It's quite sweet and tart. The salt and the water are used to release the moisture from the apple, so you only need a little bit, but the amount of moisture released will depend on the size and condition of the apple, so add more water if necessary.Mashed Fuji apple jam will be slightly firm.
