Salisbury steaks/ hamburger steaks

In a medium bowl add the ground beef, panko, egg, garlic, ketchup, beef bullion, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce and mix until combined. Form into four oval-shaped patties.

Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter place the patties into the hot skillet and sear for 2 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for 2 minutes. (The patties will still be raw) Remove to a plate and set aside. Don’t overcrowd the pan, so you can cook in batches if needed.

Add 2 tablespoons butter to the skillet and add in the sliced onions. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the onions for 18-20 minutes, stirring every so often.

Add in the sliced mushrooms and cook another 2-3 minutes. Add a little more butter if desired. Sprinkle in the flour and give everything a toss.

Pour in the beef stock and stir. Place the patties back into the pan and let simmer (bring to a boil then turn down heat to medium low) for 7-10 minutes.

Check if you need to add salt & pepper. You can add more flour or a cornstarch slurry to make gravy thicker. Serve over mashed potatoes.
