Ingredients

6 people
  1. 1pork roast
  2. 1-2 tbspolive oil
  3. 1 tbspitalian seasoning
  4. 1 tspsalt (or enough to season the meat)
  5. 1/2 tsppepper (or enough to season the meat)
  6. 6red potatoes
  7. 1onion
  8. 2carrots or 2 handfuls of baby carrots
  9. 1pouch of onion soup mix
  10. 1 cupred wine
  11. 1 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Clean and cut the onion, potatoes, and carrots into bite size chunks and place them in the bottom of the crockpot.

  2. 2

Season the pork on all sides with italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the pork on all sides.

  4. 4

Place the browned pork on top of the veggies in the crockpot.

  5. 5

Sprinkle the top of the roast with the onion soup mix. Pour the wine and water over the roast. (I usually deglaze the pan I browned the meat in with the water and wine mixture to get all the flavor from the meat and seasonings.)

  6. 6

Place the lid on the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.

  7. 7

The meat should be tender and have an internal temperature of at least 180° F. (I usually go for an internal temperature around 200° F to be on the safe side.)
