Ingredients

Serves 5 servings
  1. 5tilapia or white fish fillets
  2. 1 cupflour (about 120 grams)
  3. 1/2 canbeer (about 6 ounces or 180 ml)
  4. 1 teaspoonbaking powder
  5. 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  6. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  7. 1 pinchblack pepper
  8. 1 teaspoonsalt
  9. 1 teaspoononion powder
  10. For the sauce
  11. 5 tablespoonsmayonnaise
  12. 3 tablespoonsground chipotle pepper
  13. To serve
  14. Shredded cabbage, to taste
  15. Tomato, to taste
  16. Avocado, to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Start by washing and finely shredding or chopping the cabbage.

    Next, rinse the fish fillets and cut them lengthwise into strips. Cut each fillet into 4 strips.

    In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well, then gradually add the beer. If needed, add a splash of water to get a smooth, slightly thick batter.

    Heat enough oil in a large skillet. Dip the fish strips into the batter and fry over low heat on both sides until golden.

    Let the fillets drain. For the sauce, mix the mayonnaise and ground chipotle pepper. To serve, place a fish fillet on a tortilla, top with cabbage, sauce, tomato, and avocado. Enjoy!
