Pornstar Pops and Passion Fruit Lollies

Passion fruit is native to the tropical highlands in South America stretching from northern Argentina to southern Brazil. It was introduced to Europe in 1629 by the Spanish Jesuit missionaries who named it passion fruit after seeing in the flower the marks of Christ’s Passion. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre, low in calories and has sedative and relaxing effects so good for anxiety and insomnia.
We are officially having a heatwave (25-28°C for 3 days) and it is scorchio outside. My mind wanders to champagne popsicles from Fortnum and Mason and then to Pornstar Martinis.
The Pornstar Martini was invented in 2002 by Douglas Ankrah, a mixologist and owner of the LAB bar in Soho whilst he was creating the menu for The Townhouse Bar in Knightsbridge. He based it on a drink he had tried at Mavericks, a gentlemen's club in Cape Town as he wanted to create a modern take on the classic Martini. The drink's name was originally Maverick Martini but he changed it as he thought it was a drink a porn star would enjoy.
Passoã is a passion fruit liqueur originating from France and first launched in Benelux in 1986. Passoã although contains the Portuguese character ã is a made-up name.
As the ratio to freeze is a max of 4:1, I’ve toned down my usual measures of 60 (mls that is, not oz) voddy, 30 Passoã, 1 passion fruit pulp, a drop of simple syrup, ½ a lime juiced with a tot of prossy on the side and added a non-alcoholic version for good measure. #GlobalApron

Pornstar Pops: Blitz all the ingredients and pour into ice lolly moulds. Add the sticks and freeze. Enjoy with a glass of prossy or champagne on the side.

Passion Fruit Lollies: Whisk the honey, lime juice and one passion fruit into the yoghurt then fold through the other passion fruit. Add lolly sticks and freeze.
