Pooranam Preparations, first wash and soak the kadalai paruppu (Split chickpea) for about 1 hr.

Pressure cook bengal gram / kadalai paruppu for 4 to 5 whistles with one cup of water.

Meanwhile, in the pan to prepare sugar Syrup by taking 1 cup sugar and ¼ cup Water.

Stir continuously until it forms this consistency

Now add grated coconut, cardamom powder, ghee..

Cook till it swirls in the pan...

Now the poornam for suyyam is ready sprinkle with
badams (adding badam is optional) - 7
Make small balls out of the filling and keep it ready

--------------To prepare the batter for outer cover----
Take a bowl and add maida and rice flour and pinch of salt...
Add water little by little to make a thick batter like this...

Take one dumpling of pooranam and dip it in suyyam
batter and coat it evenly - 10
Heat oil in a pan for frying the Suyyams.
Fry it over medium flame until it turns golden color...
