Ingredients

20 minutes
3 servings
  • 6 slicesbread
  • 1egg
  • 3-4 tbsp.butter, soft
  • 1/4 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1/2 cupalmond flour
  • 1 tsp.vanilla essence
  • As required, sliced almonds

Steps

20 minutes

    Preheat oven 356F and line a baking tray.

  2. 2

    In a bowl cream together butter and powdered sugar.

  3. 3

    Add the egg and whisk well.

  4. 4

    Add the vanilla and mix well.

  5. 5

    Add the almond flour and mix to fold to get a spreadable butter consistency.

  6. 6

    Make indents on the slices with a back of a spoon.

  7. 7

    Spread the prepared almond paste on the slices and generously scatter sliced almonds on top.

    Place on baking tray and bake for 12 minutes or till nicely golden.

    Remove and dust with powdered sugar and serve.
