
Grandma's Pot Roast

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350

Pre season meat
- 3
Cut slits in meat and place garlic into slits
- 4
Coat bottom of roasting pan with oil
- 5
Brown edges of meat in roasting pan
- 6
Pour soup (Mushroom) over browned meat
- 7
Add 1/3 can of water
- 8
Add 1/2 package of onion soup mix
- 9
Cover with foil (or pan cover) and bake for 20 minutes at 350

Reduce heat to 250 and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours

so funny.... if u thought it did not have enough seasoning..... make sure your using only a 4 lb roast... if it is larger u need to add more seasoning maybe another package of brown gravy... OR onion mix.... add more onion and celery.... when i spoke to someone they tried to cook a 6-7 lb roast.... using the recipe..... they should have added more onion soup and another 1/2 cup water...
