Red Rice Kheer is a great option for any special occasion. Be it just a weekend special Dessert or a kids party at home or a family reunion or a holiday get-togethers with our near and dear ones. This Kheer is a beautiful looking creamy and delightfully luscious. With a beautiful hues of Red to Brownish, this super delicious Kheer is just the right choice for any occasion.
Not only is it a refreshingly awesome one, it gets done easily too with just a handful of pantry staples. That's not all. It tastes equally yum with Jaggery too. And using any Fruit to make it more flavourful is of course a wonderful idea.
It's a must have one in my family and each time it is made, it's absolutely loved by all. Unpolished Red Rice variety has been used by me for this lip-smacking homemade Kheer garnished with lots of chopped Almonds and served warm.

Steps
- 1
Wash and soak red rice in clean water for an hour. This is the first step towards making this delicious kheer.
- 2
Bring milk and sugar to a rolling boil on a high heat at first. Then lower down the heat to a low when it starts boiling vigorously. Also add cardamom powder.
- 3
Add soaked and blended red rice paste to the milk as well. Give it all a good mix. Allow it to simmer for the next 15-18 minutes.
- 4
It gets done in no time at all. Simmer until it thickens to a desired consistency. That's it. Adjust sugar if needed. Garnish with lots of chopped nuts of choice. Serve it warm or chilled. Enjoy!
