First ready all the ingredients.
Pound ajwain and jira coarsely. - 2
In a tall vessel take 2 1/2-3 bowls water(depending on the consistency preferred). Bring to a rolling boil. Add in the pounded ajwain-jira. Add in salt, soda and ginger garlic paste.

Add in 1tbsp oil. Add rice flour in batches and mix vigorously with a rolling pin.

Take care that lumps do not form. Now cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Sitr in between to avoid burning at the base

Switch off and serve hot. Alternatively,if to be served later, take the khichoo in a greased plate and steam for 7-8 minutes and serve hot. Drizzle groundnut oil and sprinkle achaar masala.

Garnish with coriander and serve hot. Enjoy chill winters with piping hot khichoo with friends and family.
