Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the eggs. Add the sugar and beat until the mixture becomes light in color. Add the vanilla and mix well. Gradually add the oil while mixing, then add the salt, lemon juice, milk, and sesame seeds. Continue mixing until everything is well combined.
- 2
In a separate bowl, sift the flour and mix it by hand. Add the baking powder and mix together. Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and mix by hand until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan or one lined with parchment paper. Tap the pan on the counter 4 times to remove any air bubbles.
- 3
Place the pan in a preheated oven at 370°F (180°C) and bake until the cake turns a light golden color, about 35 to 45 minutes.
- 4
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. Once cooled, cut the cake into rectangular pieces that are not too thin or too thick.
- 5
Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C). Place the cake slices on the oven rack and toast them until they become a beautiful light golden brown.
- 6
Remove the slices from the oven and let them cool completely on a tray. It's best not to cover them until they are fully cooled.
- 7
Serve with milk tea, black tea, coffee, instant coffee, hot anise drink, or any beverage you like.
