Indori Poha is a delicious and light breakfast recipe which is very popular in Indore. Poha is generally made in every household as a breakfast dish but the Indori Poha has a twist in it. It is a great way to make your regular poha in a different way. An addition of jeeravan masala and fennel seeds makes this Poha even more delicious! Pomegranate kernels added to the poha adds freshness and nutrition.

Indori Poha is a delicious and light breakfast recipe which is very popular in Indore. Poha is generally made in every household as a breakfast dish but the Indori Poha has a twist in it. It is a great way to make your regular poha in a different way. An addition of jeeravan masala and fennel seeds makes this Poha even more delicious! Pomegranate kernels added to the poha adds freshness and nutrition.

First of all, wash the poha with under tap water and strain it and dry for 5 minutes. Then add turmeric, salt and sugar and mix it.

Steam the poha in the same strainer for 5 minutes and separates them by hand. In Indori Poha, Jeeravan masala is used as shown in the photo. which is the main ingredient. Add jeeravan masala and mix it well.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, then add asafoetida and saute onions. Then saute curry leaves, green chillies and fennel seeds.

Add pinch of turmeric and salt to it. Now add poha. Since poha is already cooked, mix it for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.then add lemon juice and mix it.

Take the prepared poha in a plate and sprinkle some jeeravan masala, add Pomegranate seeds,roasted peanuts, and ratlami sev and chopped onions. Sprinkle some coriander leaves on top. Indori poha is ready to serve.
