Do you want to decorate the cake you made with lots of flowers? This is plastic chocolate. It is called that in the Japanese confectionery industry, but it is not plastic.
If you add starch syrup to melted chocolate and mix it, you can use it like clay. There seems to be a way to make it with corn syrup too. #january2026 #kawaiicooking

Ingredients

1 day
for 1 cake
  1. 50 gwhite chocolate
  2. 12 gstarch syrup (starch candy)
  3. food colour

Cooking Instructions

1 day
  1. 1

Break the white chocolate into pieces and place in a heat-resistant bowl. Melt in the microwave or in a double boiler. Make sure the temperature does not exceed 50°C.

  2. 2

Once the white chocolate has melted, add the starch syrup and mix. It will harden as you mix.

  3. 3

Once it comes together, color some of it with food coloring if necessary. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator. (about half day or more)

  4. 4

It will harden if you leave it in the refrigerator, but it will become softer if you knead it with your hands. Roll it out thinly while still wrapped in plastic wrap, and cut out a flower shape. The yellow center of the flower was rolled by hand.

  5. 5

Today I decorated it on a Weekend Citron Cake.
If you are making it with brown chocolate, add 15g of starch syrup.
