Masala Dosa with Mysore special red chutney

In a grinder add the drained rice and urad dal. Add required amount of water and grind into smooth paste till fluffy

Remove the batter and mix the batter very well with hands. Keep for fermentation for 8 to 10 hours

Next day morning add salt to the batter and mix well.

Heat a iron cast dosa Tawa and grease it with oil. Take a ladle full of batter and pour the batter on Tawa. Spread the batter into circular shape. Cook for 2 minutes. Spread the Mysore red chutney on dosa and then add the potato masala over it. Fold the dosa on two sides.

Serve hot and can be eaten along with coconut chutney or sambhar.

Mysore Red Chutney - In a mixer jar add all the ingredients and grind with required amount of water into smooth paste. Remove and keep aside.

Potato Masala - In a frying pan heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once it splutters add cumin seeds, asfoetida, urad dal, chana dal, green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, chopped onions. Fry till onions are golden brown. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste. Add the mashed potatoes. Mix very well and add finely chopped coriander leaves.
