  2. 1 tbsplemon juice or as needed

  4. 1 CSparkling water or lemonade or as needed
  5. Optional Ingredient Variations
  6. 1. Sugar syrup or honey - add a splash of sugar syrup if you like your drink sweeter
  7. 2. Granulated sugar is also good to use if you make your drink in a shaker as it will lightly bruised mints to release its subtle minty flavour
  8. 3. Club soda can be used in placed of Sparkling water

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Gather all ingredients. Wash the limes & mints. Halve and juice the limes. Cut few extra thin slices that will be used to garnish your drink. Wash the mint leaves.

    📝Notes
    1. Use fresh lime juice, not the ones from the bottles or boxes.
    2. Rose syrup is a sweet and thick syrup. We bought ours from local Vietnam grocery. Most Asian groceries sell Rose Syrup.

  2. 2

Add 3 tbsp of Rose syrup to a clear tall glass. Add more if you like your drink sweeter. Keep aside.

  3. 3

Next, cut mint leaves and lightly bruise them with the tip of the knife. Add the mints into the glass.

    📝Note
    1. If you have a muddler, you can add the leaves directly into the glass and lightly muddle them. Don't muddle them too much as you don't want to break the leaves into near paste.

  4. 4

Add a tablespoon of lime juice into the glass then fill the glass with ice cubes. Add a slice of lime. Pour in the Sparkling water. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Serve immediately.
