Farali Vrat Platter for Mahashivratri

Wishing all a joyous Mahashivratri full of sacre offerings& divine blessings🙏🏻It's the day devoted to the supreme Hindu god, Mahadev Shiva . The story of Shivratri is that once a hunter was passing through a jungle without any food. He saw a female deer and caught her. She requested him to let her go and meet her family before the hunter captured & took her away. He agreed and told her to come back in the morning. He climbed a bael tree ( bilva vruksha) and spent the night picking leaves and dropping them on the ground. Little he knew that there was a Shiva linga below the tree and he had unknowingly offered the bael leaves to Shivji. The deer returned in the morning with all her family, who wanted to go with her as well. Seeing the trust and faith both the hunter and the deer placed in each other, Shivji appeared and blessed them. He bestowed the hunter a place in the stars as a constellation named "Vyaghra" meaning tiger in sanskrit as he was a hunter and to the deer , a star constellation named " Mriga " meaning deer in sanskrit . So Shivaratri ( night for Shiva) is celebrated by chanting Shiva names, praying and offering Abhishek of milk and water to the Shiva linga as on this night, to save the world , Shiva had held the poison "halahal" which had erupted from churning of sea ( samudra manthan) between gods and demons. He became restless and was in pain due to the poison, and he was offered milk to drink by all the Gods. Save and sahre. Har Har Mahadev #EC
