Gulab jamun is a classic Indian sweet made with milk solids, sugar, rose water & cardamom powder. It is a very famous Indian dessert & is enjoyed during festivals. So this Holi, I have made Gulab jamun with few changes and turned it into a fusion dish - Gulab jamun sandwich.

Gulab jamun is a classic Indian sweet made with milk solids, sugar, rose water & cardamom powder. It is a very famous Indian dessert & is enjoyed during festivals. So this Holi, I have made Gulab jamun with few changes and turned it into a fusion dish - Gulab jamun sandwich.
Steps

Take a pan add water, sugar and cardamom, stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved.

In a mixing bowl, add milk powder, all-purpose flour, rava and mix it well.

Add baking powder, ghee and milk and start kneading it to make a smooth soft dough.

Knead the dough properly.

Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a ball. Make total 10 balls from dough.
Flatten the balls and keep aside. - 6
Heat ghee in pan and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.

Transfer these fried balls into the warm sugar syrup and soak for 1 hour.

In another pan boil milk and sugar.

Make a paste from custard powder and 1/2 cup chilled milk. Add this mixture in milk and sugar solution.

Stir and cook till it thickened.
Keep the prepared custard aside. - 11
Take out gulab jamun from sugar syrup and spread custard on 1 gulab jamun.

Keep another gulab jamun on it, garnish with chopped pistachios and serve.
