Ingredients

  1. 1.1 pounds (500 grams)kataifi pastry
  2. 12.5 ounces (350 grams)pistachios
  3. 1/2 cupclarified butter (about 115 grams)
  4. 1/2 cupvegetable oil (about 120 ml)
  5. 1/2 cupsimple syrup (about 120 ml)
  6. 1 cupArabic-style ice cream (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Grease the bottom of the baking pan with a little of the butter and oil mixture.

    Spread half of the kataifi pastry in the pan, then add a layer of pistachios, and cover with the remaining kataifi pastry.

    Press the pastry firmly into the pan.

    Pour the remaining butter and oil mixture evenly over the top.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) until golden brown on the top and bottom.
