No Bake- Chocolaty Date Bites

No Bake- Chocolaty Date Bites
Steps
- 1
Soak all the nuts for some time before prep, deseed the dates.
- 2
Grind the dates and raisins together. Separately grind all the nuts and sesame seeds together.
- 3
In a heated pan, add 1 blob of butter, roast the dry mixture of nuts for 3-4 mins. Then roast the dates and raisins mix. Mix them together and add cardamom powder, and jaggery and make a thick sticky paste that can very easily clump together.
- 4
Remove from heat and take it out in a butter smeared platter and give a shape. Cut into desired pieces, bars, small bite shaped or balls as per your wish.
- 5
In a double boiler, melt some dark chocolate with some butter and stir carefully.
- 6
Now carefully dip the Dates Bites into the molten Chocolate mixture and put into freezer for 10 mins. Garnish with roasted sesame seeds sprinkle on top.

I initially wanted to make longer bars, but I realised mid-way when I cut the pieces in step 6, that probably I messed it up. The date mix has to be more sticky and clumpy so that long bars could sustain. They didn't, they were crumbly, so I cut them up instead in smaller bite sized pieces. I'll try to improve.
