Before coming to the city of gardens, when ever I craved for a dosa; it was always going to one of my favourite restaurants with friends back home. All of us used to order our usual favourite ‘mysoremasala dosa’; eating those crispy bites with some spicy chutney and finishing with a hot coffee made our day!The thought of making this thin paper-like dish at home seemed like a task until I decided to move out of my comfort zone and finally made dosas at home. Ohh what a feeling of pride and achievement it was, the homemade ones were so much better and ‘lighter’ on the stomach! After many successful attempts and different combinations, I thought of making dosas for Magic Mingle hosted by Kalyani. A simple recipe prepared with yellow moong dal and spiced with peppercorns turned out to be perfect! Gauri Shirke
