First, take curd in a mixing bowl. Add gram flour to it and mix well with a whisk until smooth. Now, add onion, ginger, garlic, turmeric, chili powder, coriander-cumin powder, roasted cumin powder, salt, and water, and mix well with a whisk.

Now, in a non-stick pan, once the oil is hot, add fenugreek seeds and let them turn reddish. Then add whole red chilies and asafoetida, followed by the prepared yogurt mixture.

Keep stirring until it comes to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat to low. Now, let it cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Once the kadhi thickens, turn off the gas.

Serve the hot Punjabi Kadhi.
