Ingredients

  1. 2 cupdiced tapioca
  2. 1.5 cupchana/chickpea
  3. 2big onion
  4. 1 inchginger
  5. 2green chilli
  6. 2 tspcoriander powder
  7. 1.5 tspchilli powder
  8. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  9. 1 tspoil
  10. 1/2 cupgrated coconut
  11. 2 tbspurud dal
  12. leavesCurry
  13. For seasoning:
  14. 3 tspoil
  15. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  16. 1/2 tspurud dal
  17. leavesCurry

Cooking Instructions

    Take all the needed ingredients. Boil chana and tapioca pieces in a separate tawa and keep aside.

    Ina hot pan add 1tsp of oil add urud dal,coconut. Saute. Then add curryleves. Saute until it turns golden brown,then keep aside. The aroma is nice.

    Now,in a hot tawa add oil,do seasoning. Then add siced onions, curryleaves,chilli,sliced ginger, then saute until it turns brown.

    Then add add all masala powder and mix. Then add boiled tapioca and chana with boiled water. Adjust the salt level.

    Bring it to boil. Once its started boiling cover and cook for 10 more mts. In the mean time,mash chana and tapioca.

    If we need a semi gravy consistency,add required amount of boiled water. Because it becomes thick after cooked.

    Finally sprinkle fried coconut and urudlal on top of it. Thats it. Our aromatic Tapioca Puzhukku is,ready to serve.
