Oh Canada Stromboli

I decided to try to make this for the first time after watching Momma Jackie's version. My first attempt was almost identical to hers, and it turned out great. My family has asked for it to be added to the rotation! #mommajackiesstrombolishowdown

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F
- 2
Roll out pizza dough into roughly a 10"x 10" square. I get my pizza dough from a local pizzeria (size medium)
- 3
Even lay out the slices of provolone. They can overlap but you need to leave about 1" of dough uncovered around the entire perimeter
- 4
Evenly lay out and layer all of the meat slices.
- 5
Top with the mozzarella.
- 6
Sprinkle half the Italian seasoning over the cheese and meat.
- 7
Fold the outer sides in just to barely over the outside edges of the meat and cheese.
- 8
Starting at the bottom, roll the dough nice and tightly into a log shape making sure the sides contained and the final seam is pinched shut.
- 9
Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet seam side on the bottom.
- 10
Whisk the eggs and brush egg wash over the entire Stromboli. Sprinkle remaining Italian seasoning on top.
- 11
Place the baking sheet on the middle rack and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- 12
Remove and let rest for 10-15 minutes so the filling doesn't ooze out when you slice it.
- 13
Cut into 1 1/2" slices and served with warm marinara sauce for dipping. I cheat and just use Rao's! Enjoy!

Classic Stromboli 🇮🇹 Classic Stromboli 🇮🇹
#mommajackiesstrombolishowdownThis mouthwatering Stromboli is a golden-brown, crispy delight, filled with layers of thinly sliced provolone, prosciutto ham, and zesty Genoa salami. The melted provolone adds a creamy, tangy richness, while the prosciutto ham and Genoa salami bring a savory, slightly peppery bite that’s truly irresistible. Rolled up in a tender pizza dough, this Stromboli is brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with Italian herbs before baking to a crisp perfection. Slice into this warm, savory roll and watch the gooey cheese and flavorful meats swirl together in each satisfying bite. Jackie Vitiello -

Italian Stromboli Italian Stromboli
A game-time snack for the group or a personal sandwich. The basic difference between a Stromboli and a Calzone, is that a "Strom" has ingredients like a hot baked Italian sandwich and the ""Zone" has pizza like ingredients (along with ricotta cheese) and a marinara dipping sauce on the side. Both are somewhat comparable, however. Rick M -

54. Stromboli 54. Stromboli
This is my first time making a type of food called stromboli,so the shape and filling aren't perfect yet.Stromboli is kind of 'pizza' which is quite delicious and not messy to eat.The challenging part was when rolling it up — the filling kept spilling out and the ends didn’t seal properly. But it was fun to make this stromboli!#mommajackiesstrombolishowdown#CA2025 nunzdy -
Italian Stromboli Italian Stromboli
My friend made something similar a few years ago on road trip we took after high school. We went hiking and ate this homemade Italian Stromboli when we reached our destination. I've wanted to recreate it since then, and now that I'm in college I have the room to do so! I've tweaked the recipe a bit, but it's as close as possible to what I can remember. Em B.
