Red velvet cookies !
honestly the best one I've found
Steps
- 1
Start off by adding room temperature butter and sugars in a bowl. Mix them until its smooth.
- 2
Add 1 egg and red food coloring and mix until it's combined.
- 3
Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda, combine until a dough forms. Add chocolate.
- 4
After the dough is smooth, cover it and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- 5
Before baking, preheat your oven to 180°C and line your dough on a baking tray. I measured each one out to be 50g, but you can do more or less.
- 6
Bake them for 15 minutes.
- 7
While the cookies are cooling, you can make the frosting; start off by adding cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla and mix this until it looks creamy.
- 8
After that, add 100 ml of heavy cream and mix with a mixer for a few minutes until the mixture becomes stiff.
- 9
After the cookies have cooled off, add the frosting on top (I also added some cookie crumbs on top). And you're done!
