Ingredients

  • 150 gramsPaneer
  • 2 tbspCapsicum pieces
  • For the gravy -
  • 6-7 Cashew nut
  • 1 tbspPoppy seeds
  • 50 gramsPaneer (cut into small pieces)
  • 1Green chilli
  • 1/2 tspGinger(grated)
  • 1Bay leaf
  • Spices -
  • 1 tsp Coriander whole
  • 1 tspFennel seeds
  • 1/2 tspCumin
  • 6-7Whole black pepper
  • 1Green cardamom
  • 1Black cardamom
  • 1/2 inch piece Dal chini
  • 1Whole kashmiri red chilli
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1 tspSugar
  • 5-6Saffron threads(soaked in 1/4 cup water)
  • 3 tbspoil
  • 1 tbspCoriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup fresh curd

  1. 1

    Dry roast cumin, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cardamom, black pepper, whole red chilli and dal chini on low heat.Let it cool and then grind.Keep it aside.

    Grind cashew nut, poppy seeds and paneer with 1/4 cup water.Keep it aside.

    Cut paneer into slices and shallow fry.In the same oil fry capsicum.Keep it aside.

    In the same oil,add bay leaf,green chilli and ginger.Saute.Then add cashew nut paste and fry.Add curd,sugar and saffron water.Mix it well.Add salt and cook on medium heat for 6-7 min.

    Add paneer pieces and capsicum.Sprinkle ground masala and mix.Add 1/2 cup water and cook it for 4-5 min.

    Your yakhni paneer curry is ready to serve.Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve.Enjoy it with rice,roti or naan.
