Mutta Surka is one of the traditional dishes of Kerala. It's a very special and popular breakfast dish in Malabar. This dish is made with very few ingredients, mainly using both raw rice and cooked rice. It's served with chutney, sambar, or curry.

Mutta Surka is one of the traditional dishes of Kerala. It's a very special and popular breakfast dish in Malabar. This dish is made with very few ingredients, mainly using both raw rice and cooked rice. It's served with chutney, sambar, or curry.

Wash 1 and 1/2 cups of rice and soak it for at least 5 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked rice and transfer it to a mixer jar. Add 1/2 cup of cooked rice and 1/2 cup or more/less water (as needed) and salt to taste. Blend to form a thick batter. Pour the batter into a bowl.

Now, heat oil in a kadai over medium heat on the gas. Pour a spoonful of batter into the oil. When it puffs up, flip it over. Once it turns light golden brown, remove it from the oil and place it on paper. Prepare all the Mutta Surka in this way.

Enjoy your Mutta Surka with a side of chutney or curry.
