These are a very good use for the couple of bottles of maple syrup I got in Canada recently. Can totally taste the maple but they’re not too sweet at all. The perfect cookie!

Ingredients

10 minutes prep, 10-15 minutes baking.
18-24 cookies
  1. 2 cupsAll-purpose flour
  2. 0.5 teaspoonSalt
  3. 0.5 cupMaple syrup
  4. 1 cupSoftened butter
  5. Optional Adds
  6. 1 teaspoonallspice
  7. 1 teaspoonground ginger
  8. 2-5 tablespoonscinnamon

Cooking Instructions

10 minutes prep, 10-15 minutes baking.
  1. 1

Cream the maple syrup and softened butter together in a mixer until smooth.

  2. 2

Tip: When measuring the syrup, spray your measuring cup with cooking spray then dump out any remaining oil in the cup. Now the syrup won’t stick.

  3. 3

Add flour and salt gradually, mixing slowly until a smooth dough forms.

  4. 4

If using optional ingredients, add them here. Note you can add anything else you think sounds tasty.

  5. 5

Scoop golf ball-sized portions onto a baking sheet.

  6. 6

Gently flatten each portion into a disc shape.

  7. 7

Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown.
