Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  • 4 cupswheat flour
  • 3 tbspghee
  • 3/4 tsp salt or as required
  • 1 cup green peas for filling
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp nigella seeds
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • Ghee for brushing

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Puree the green peas with ginger & chilli in a food processor.

  2. 2

    In a kadai heat 1 tbsp ghee, add cumin, nigella seeds & let them splutter.

  3. 3

    Then add green peas paste, & fry for 1 minute.Add turmeric, cumin powder, salt, stir & mix well.

  4. 4

    In a large bowl combine flour, ghee & salt.Add lukewarm water little at a time until you have a soft dough.

    Cover the dough with a damp cloth & leave to rest for 10 minutes

  6. 6

    Divide the dough into equal small size balls.Take one ball shape dough & give the shape of a cup on your hand's palm.

    Place out 1 tsp of green peas stuffing on the cup shape dough.Bring the dough around the cup to seal it.

    Place on a floured board, sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough & roll into a circle, approximately 6,7 in diameter.

    Heat a tawa & brush some ghee on it.Adf the circle shaped dough & shallow fry it until it starts to get fluffy.Flip over & brush the top with ghee.

    Then remove it to a plate & fry all the parathas.Serve the green peas parathas with hung curd.
