Making stuffing - Heat ghee in a kadai add desiccated coconut and roast them on low heat till aromatic then add jaggery powder, mix it and add milk, mix properly and cook some times.

Stir continuously when milk fully evaporated then add cardamom powder, mix it again. Turn off the flame, stuffing is ready, keep aside to cool down.

2 bowls of water boil with little salt and ghee and now add rice flour slowly and mix them immediately, cover it and keep 5 minutes. Now take out dough in another vessel and gather the dough together and knead the dough in hand of water, to smooth texture.

Now take a small portion of dough and put them in greased modak mould, press it and make a small cavity then put coconut stuffing in this cavity and press it. Now add small portion of dough and cover it. As shown in fig.

Now greased the steamer, place the modak in it and steam it 10-12 minutes.

Ukadiche Modak is ready to serve.
