Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Then peel, wash, and dry the potatoes. In a baking dish, place the chicken, potatoes, onions, and margarine. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes. Add the coffee and the bouillon cube. Pour in 1 1/4 cups water (300 ml). Return to the oven and bake for another 45 minutes, checking occasionally until everything is nicely browned.

Feel free to add more water during cooking to prevent the bottom from burning.
