Cook pasta, drain very well, and set aside.

In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, eggs, salt, and reserved fruit juice.

Cook over low-medium heat, stirring, until thickened and just boiling.

Pour custard over drained pasta, mix, and chill overnight.

Before serving, add pineapple and whipped cream, then gently fold in mandarin oranges.
Tips
For a lighter texture, fold in the whipped cream just before serving.
