Now add the soaked bhagar, water, and rock salt. Stir gently.
- 5
Cover and cook on low flame for 8–10 minutes until the grains are soft and the water is absorbed.
- 6
Turn off the heat and add lemon juice. Mix gently.
- 7
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- 8
Serving Suggestion :-
- 9
Serve warm with plain curd or a Farali Peanut Yogurt Dip.
A cucumber-tomato salad on the side makes it a complete sattvik lunch 🌿
Tips
∆ For a lighter fasting meal, use coconut oil instead of ghee.
∆ Always add lemon juice after turning off the flame to retain its flavor and vitamin C.
∆ For a more filling variation, you can add boiled potato or sweet potato cubes.
