Press tofu for 15-20 min to remove water, then cut into small pieces.

In a bowl, mix tofu with oil, corn starch, soy sauce, all spices, and lime juice.

Let tofu marinate for a few minutes.

Heat a pan and cook tofu until crispy, tasting and adding more seasoning as needed. Leave the tofu alone in the pan and let it crisp up

For pico, mix chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, salt, and lime juice.

Warm tortillas in a pan.

Assemble tacos: add tofu, cheese, pico, and jalapeño slices to tortillas.
Tips
For extra crispiness, ensure the tofu is well-pressed and consider cooking it in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
Pro Tips! (1) I used two corn tortillas because they are so fragile, making it so delicious! (2) if you don’t add cheese, the tacos are vegan!
