Ingredients

  1. 200 gChicken breast
  2. 1small head Broccoli
  3. 2 tbspHoisin sauce
  4. 2 tbspSoy sauce
  5. 1/2 tspBaking soda
  6. 1/2 tspWhite pepper
  7. 3 cloves(minced) Fresh garlic
  8. 1 tbsp(minced) Fresh ginger
  9. 1 tbspSesame oil
  10. 100 mlChicken broth
  11. 1 tbspHoney
  12. 1/2 tspGarlic powder
  13. 1/2 tspOnion powder
  14. 1 tspSriracha
  15. 1 tsp(mixed with 2 tsp water) Cornstarch
  16. 1 tbspVegetable oil

  1. 1

    Slice the chicken very thin. Marinate sliced chicken with hoisin, baking soda, white pepper, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for 15 min.

    Heat sesame oil in a wok, add chicken, spread out, and let it char on one side (about 5 min).

  3. 3

    Stir chicken until 90% cooked, then remove from wok.

  4. 4

    Add vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger to wok, then add broccoli and stir-fry.

  5. 5

    Pour in a sauce made from chicken broth, soy sauce, hoisin, honey, garlic powder, white pepper, sriracha, and onion powder.

  6. 6

    Let broccoli cook in the sauce until tender.

  7. 7

    Return chicken to wok, mix, and let everything cook together.

  8. 8

    Add cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce, then serve hot.

Tips

For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate longer if time allows.
