Steps

Drain the soaked little millet and keep aside.

Heat ghee in a deep pan or pressure cooker.

Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.

Add peanuts and cashews saute till lightly golden.

Add ginger, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute for a few seconds.

Add chopped bottle gourd and cook for 2–3 minutes till slightly soft.

Add drained little millet and mix gently.

Add sendha namak, sugar and black pepper. Mix well.

Add required water, cover and cook on low flame until millet is soft and water is absorbed.

Switch off the flame. Add lemon juice, fresh coconut and coriander leaves.

Mix gently and rest for 2 minutes before serving.

∆ Serve hot as a Farali breakfast or lunch
∆ Enjoy with plain curd (if allowed during fasting)
