Indian Bread Bajrana Rotla

Steps

Take bajra flour in a bowl and add salt. Mix well.

Add water little by little and mix with fingers

Knead into a soft but firm dough. Rest it for 5 minutes.

Divide the dough into medium balls.

Place one ball on a wooden board, dust with dry bajra flour.

Gently press with fingers (patting method) to make a thick round rotla.

Heat a tawa on medium flame.

Place on a hot tawa. Quickly spread a few drops of water on the top side with your fingers.

When the water dries (after ~45 seconds), flip it. Cook until the bottom has brown spots.

Place directly on a high gas flame using tongs until it puffs up.

Remove and apply ghee or butter if desired.

Serve with, jaggery,Ringna no olo, lehsan chutney, chaas – best combination 😋
Tips
Dough should be soft, not sticky.
If rotla cracks, wet your fingers with normal water and smooth the edges.
Cook on medium flame for even cooking.
