Steps

Wash rice and toor dal well and soak for 10–15 minutes.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker or pot and add cumin seeds.

Once they crackle, add the ginjer,chopped vegetables and saute lightly.

Add soaked rice and dal,Add turmeric powder and salt followed by water. Mix well.

Pressure cook for 3 whistles, or cook covered until soft and well cooked.

Let the pressure release naturally. Garnish with fresh coriander.

Serve hot with fresh curd for a soothing and balanced meal.
