  5. 1/4 tablespoonMustard Seeds
  6. 1/4 tablespoonCumin Seeds
  7. 1/4 tablespoonAsafoetida
  8. 4 leavesCurry Leaves
  9. 1/4 tablespoonTurmeric Powder
  10. 1/4 tablespoonCumin Powder
  11. 1/4 tablespoonCoriander Powder
  12. 1 pinchCinnamon Powder
  13. 2 piecesCloves
  14. 2-3 piecesBlack Pepper
  15. 1/4 tablespoonSalt
  16. 2 tablespoonsGhee

    Wash rice and green moong dal well. Soak in water for 10 minutes.

    Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; let them crackle.

    Add curry leaves and asafoetida. Stir briefly.

    Add 3 cups water, all spices, coconut powder, and salt. Bring to a boil.

    Add soaked rice and dal. Mix well.

    Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles, then turn off the heat.

    Let the pressure release naturally. Open and mix gently.

    Serve hot, topped with ghee. Enjoy with roasted papad.and Lemon Pickle.
