Mix Vegetable Vermicelli idli

Sevaiya is an important ingredient for Ramzan delicacies.
Here, I have prepared a savoury version of
MIX Vegetable. VERMICELLI IDLI.
This recipe is very convenient to prepare as it requires soaking and steaming.
These idlies taste good even after they get cold. So this is a good Tiffin recipe too.

MIX Vegetable. VERMICELLI IDLI.
This recipe is very convenient to prepare as it requires soaking and steaming.
These idlies taste good even after they get cold. So this is a good Tiffin recipe too.
Steps

First, ready all the ingredients for batter and tempering.

Chop the vegetables and keep everything handy. Dry roast the vermicelli on slow gas for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously. Cool the vermicelli in a big mixing bowl.

Add in all the vegetables. Add in the curd. Mix.

Mix in salt and water as needed and prepared a lumpy mixture. Cover and rest this mixture for 30 minutes. Meanwhile,in a tempering container,fry the peanuts and cashew halves and keep aside.

Tempering: In the same oil,add in mustard seeds, allow to splitters and add chana dal. When the dals gets crisp add in curry leaves and hing.

After the batter has soaked well, add little water if required to set a lumpy consistency. The sevaiya would have softened a bit.Add in the prepared tempering. Mix in fried peanuts.

Ready a steamer and grease the idli mould plates. Arrange a fried cashew and peanut in each cavity.

Fill each cavity with the vermicelli batter.

When the water sterts boiling,place the plates in the steamer. Close lid and steam for 15-17 minutes(on full flame)or until the inserted knife comes out clean. Open lid.

Check if the Mix Vegetable Vermicelli Idlies are ready. Switch off gas and allow the idlies to cool down a bit.

Take out the Mix Vegetable Vermicelli Idlies onto the serving plate.
