Chicken Cheese Sliders with Tandoori Mayo is a treat to our tastebuds on any given day. I had made them and served at a close-knit family Iftaar this Ramadan 2026.
With juicy and succulent Chicken and generously loaded Mozzarella Cheese, the children literally had a blast today.
Made so very easily with Whole Wheat Pav Buns that too in an Air Fryer made the whole process a breeze. It was such a delightful bliss making these and later trying them out with some Green Chutney and the good old Tomato Ketchup. You would definitely love it. I made two different Sliders for a yummy variation at the Iftaar table. Both being delicious in their own way. Do check out the other one too here on my profile. Loads of lovely, lip-smacking homemade freshly made Iftaar preparations for all including the neighbours, friends, relatives and the immediate family of course made this Ramadan and every single Ramadan a true blessing in disguise.

Heat butter or oil in a pan. Add garlic and saute until fragrant. Saute onion until translucent.

Add chicken, salt, pepper and mixed herbs. Stir fry until cooked through.

Slice pav buns from the centre making into two halves. Spread tandoori mayo at first. Top with stir fried chicken and finally with the generous topping of the mozzarella cheese. Place the other half on top. Brush with melted butter. Add some finely chopped garlic and freshly chopped coriander or parsley.

Place them carefully in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180° C for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese melts. That's it.

Serve these cheesy chicken sliders piping hot at Iftaar right away. Enjoy!
Tips
Using Whole Wheat Buns adds a healthy twist, and the air fryer ensures the Cheese melts perfectly without overcooking the Chicken.
