Steps

  1. 1

Mix up the starter ingredients. Leave the starter in warm place for one hour.

  2. 2

Prepare the dough ingredients in a mixing bowl, add the starter into the dough ingredients. Mix them well together. Knead it until smooth for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

Let it rest for one to two hours in warm place. It will be double in volume

  4. 4

Mix the ground peanuts and sugar for the filling in a bowl.

  5. 5

Divide the dough into small ball as your wish. Here I divided into 8 pieces.

  6. 6

Dust lightly the counter top with flour. Take one piece dough, roll it flat. Take one teaspoon peanuts filling and place it in the middle of dough. Bring the edge of dough together by pinching each other and shaping it to the ball shape.

  7. 7

Continue doing it with the rest of the dough.

  8. 8

Let it rest/ferment for one or one and half hours. The dough will double in volume.

  9. 9

Prepare your non-stick pan and pre-heat it with low heat for one minute.

  10. 10

Place the dough into the pan, bake it each side for four to five minutes with low medium heat. Be careful not too high heat; the dough will get burned and the middle part of bun will not cook evenly. Turning the bun on the side will help it to cook evenly.

  11. 11

You may add little butter to give some glance on the bun.

  12. 12

    Enjoy the peanuts bun.
