Wash kathal pieces well and boil with salt and water in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle.

Heat oil in a skillet and put whole cumin seeds and coriander seeds. Let it crackle.

Add chopped onions and fry till pink in colour.

Add garlic paste and mix well.

Now add chopped tomato and green chillies. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add turmeric powder and chilli powder. Mix well.

Now add garam masala powder and boiled kathal/jackfruit pieces and stir gently so that the spices mixed well.

Whisk curd with spoon and add in curry.

Add salt, mix well, cover and cook till jackfruit pieces cooked well.

Add chopped Coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

Dahi kathal is ready. Serve with rice or roti.
