Clean and wash arbi leaves. Mix chickpea flour with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and tamarind water. Add regular water if it is very thick. Make a spreadable paste

Apply this paste on the leaves and place them one above the other. Make a set of 5-6 leaves. Repeat with other leaves.

Start rolling the leaves firmly and make a tight roll. Place it in a greased plate and keep it in steamer, steam it for about 10-15 minutes.

Cut the rolls in around 1 inch circles.

Heat oil in another kadhai. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter. Add the arbi rolls and toss them light handedly otherwise they will open.

Serve hot with sauce or chutney
