Simmered Tuna Fillets

I bought fresh Tuna fillets that were on special at a supermarket, and later I realised they were not very fresh at all. They smelled fishy. If you cook not-so-fresh Tuna that smells fishy, I recommend to blanch it first, then simmer in a sauce. I would rather season it strongly.

Steps
- 1
Cut tuna fillets into bite-size pieces, blanch in boiling water in a saucepan until the surface changes colour, then drain. This process reduces the fishy smell.
- 2
Place all the sauce ingredients in the saucepan and bring to the boil over medium heat. Add the drained tuna pieces, and simmer, turning the tuna pieces occasionally, for 5 to 6 minutes OR until the sauce is reduced, depending on how strong the flavour you like.
