So this is my husband's midnight recipe! I'mein posting it on his behalf. It takes a little patience, but trust me, it's the bestest cheese sponge cake you'll ever have in your life!

So this is my husband's midnight recipe! I'mein posting it on his behalf. It takes a little patience, but trust me, it's the bestest cheese sponge cake you'll ever have in your life!

Sift maida and Baking powder and keep aside. In another bowl, add melted butter, sugar and whisk well till fluffy. Add 3 eggs, essence and cream/cream cheese. Continue to whisk. The fluffier the batter, the better the cake!

Now add milk and sifted maida and baking powder into the batter, alternating each. Throw in some tutti frutti, just for the colour and the mild crunchiness.

Grease the baking dish well with oil (you could use butter too, but oil gives it a wonderful crust). Line with butter paper only at the bottom. Sprinkle some dry maida on the sides to ensure the oil is no longer sticky.

Pre-heat oven at 190 degree for 5 minutes. Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes at 190 degree. Eat hot! Slurp :)
