Steps

  1. 1

First of all you need to follow some basic and compulsory steps:Clean and dry the ceramic jar. Sterilize all the utensils used. Use either wooden or plastic utensils.

  2. 2

First wash the grapes (along with their stems) and pull apart the grapes from stem and Spread them on a clean cloth or paper.(keep it overnight). Also wash the wheat and keep it separately in a strainer or cloth.

  3. 3

Boil the water to bubbling point and let it cool down to room temperature.

  4. 4

Dissolve yeast and 1/2 tbsp of sugar in warm water and leave for 5 to 10 minutes.

  5. 5

Now in the ceramic jar put the grapes in it and crush grapes with your hands.Add the whole wheat too.

  6. 6

Add sugar and yeast mixture.Pour the cooled boiled water and mix all ingredients with a wooden spoon.

  7. 7

Keep the jar tightly closed for 42 days in a dark place. For the first 10 days stir it with wooden spoon at same time everyday. Dont stir for the next 12 days.

  8. 8

On 22th day, drain the wine and pour back the strained wine back into the jar (don't wash the jar).Keep the jar tightly closed for next 21 days.

  9. 9

Now on the 42th day pour the wine in clean dry glass bottles and store.(Colored bottles are best this will help to retain the color of the wine.)

Best describing me would be a "self proclaimed foodie" who love to spend most of the time experimenting in my Lab (kitchen) .My greatest support is my husband who gives me new ideas for my experiments. Most of the recipes are adapted or u can say improvised from my mom ,mother-in -law and off course books and cookery shows. Hope u guys like them.
