Steps
- 1
Roast the cup of flour on low heat
- 2
Boil a cup of water and add a little salt and slowly add it to the rice flour, stirring continously
- 3
Let the rice mixture cool down and then knead the mixture well until a smooth dough is formed
- 4
Divide into lemon sized balls and roll them like chapathis and use some dry rice flour if it gets sticky
- 5
Roll it out as thin as paper
- 6
I used a lid to make an almost perfect circle :)
- 7
Heat a pan on medium heat and cook the pathiri for 30 seconds on one side and then flip it over and cook it for another 30 seconds
- 8
The pathiri will puff up
- 9
Serve hot with any gravy - I served it with chicken gravy and we had this for dinner
