Ingredients

25 mins
6 servings
  1. 4 cupsflour, equivalent to 500 g
  2. 300 mlmilk, equivalent to 300 cc
  3. 2 tablespoonssugar
  4. 4 tablespoonsbutter, melted
  5. 1 egg yolk
  6. 2 1/4 teaspoonsdry yeast, equivalent to 1 little bag
  7. 1 teaspoonsalt, another 0.5 teaspoon can be used

Cooking Instructions

25 mins
  1. 1

Warm the milk around 90 degrees. Pour the lukewarm milk in a big bowl and add the sugar, the butter and the yeast. Mix gently. Let rest for 10 minutes, so the yeast can begin its work.

  2. 2

Mix the flour and the salt in another bowl. Add this dry mixture to the liquid one.

  3. 3

Knead for 10 to 15 minutes with all your energy and your soul! You may add some extra flour if the dough is too sticky. It has to be nice and smooth but should not stick to the bowl.

  4. 4

Let the dough double its volume in a quiet place for 60 - 90 minutes.

  5. 5

Give a nice shape to the dough on a baking sheet: a breaded bred, a bunny, a heart shape, etc.

  6. 6

Let it pause another 30 minutes

  7. 7

Glaze it with the egg yolk.

  8. 8

Bake it in a pre-warmed oven at 415 degrees for 25 minutes.
