Broccoli Thoran തോരന്

Thoran is a Kerala dish and is commonly eaten along with steamed rice.It is a dry dish made of finely chopped vegetables and I decided to make it with some broccoli, so yes I did not go traditional with the veggie. Thorans can also be made with carrots, green beans, cabbage or spinach. The veggie is cooked with mustard seeds, curry leaves, tumeric and grated coconut
So what am I doing with a Keralite dish while clearly I am not malayalee? Well lot of my friends growing up mostly were malayalee and I had one Tamilian friend who is now singing for the film industry. Thus I guess this recipe came out of childhood memories and the need to do something else with a Broccoli than the usual recipe. Lets get to the recipe :)
